Welcome to the Plant and Agricultural Biosciences (PAB) pathway at the University of Galway.

PAB innovations have a critical role in ensuring future food security and sustainable development through discoveries in Ireland and internationally. Our focus is to train our student to positively meet these global challenges in a vibrant and dynamic employment sector. 

Our faculty is a diverse and internationally accomplished group of researchers focused on areas such as crop science, seed development, biotechnology, sustainable agriculture, sustainable food systems, molecular genetics and nutrition security.   • Plant & AgriBiosciences (PAB) is a pathway you can choose through the Bachelor of Science degree (GY301) at the University of Galway .  You enter the pathway through your options in year 2, 3 or 4.
