The MSc in Biomedical Science was an engaging and fun experience. What drew me to this program was the wide variety of modules, covering Tissue Engineering to Molecular Medicine. It provided a broad and comprehensive foundation, and added to my undergrad degree. Before starting this course, I wasn’t sure what career path I wanted to follow, but the diverse range of topics and hands-on lab work helped me figure it out. The Tissue Engineering and Advanced Tissue Engineering modules became my favourites, which was surprising as I had no prior knowledge of Biomedical Engineering. Opting for the year-long placement was another unexpected but invaluable decision. I originally thought I would do a research project but within the first week of college I changed my mind to an internship. The unwavering support from our course director, Mary, made the transition into the program seamless and stress-free. Her help throughout the year made so much of a difference. I’m really grateful for the experience and all the friends I made in the course too. If I were to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing and I couldn’t be happier with my choice!
