- Develop and implement the School’s Strategy as it relates to the development and provision of high-quality PGT and PGR programmes.
- Identify new opportunities for PG programme provision
- Ensure inter-disciplinary in the development of graduate education.
- Ensure that policies, procedures and guidelines that relate to PhD education are adopted.
- Develop and implement strategies in the school for the retention of postgraduate students.
- Oversee the development and management of new postgraduate taught and research programmes in the school.
- Review and oversee the quality of postgraduate programmes and oversee the implementation of recommendations arising from Quality Reviews and/or External Examiners.
- Review and oversee the operation of GRCs and yearly progress reports for all research students in the school.
- Coordinate the contribution of the school to postgraduate open days.
- Work closely with schools and Research Units in the development of proposals for Centres for Researcher Training
- Work closely with the Education and Students Committee in the review and oversight of master’s programmes in the school.
- Support the implementation of School Athena Swan Action plans.
