Committee Chair: Padraig Hynes
The Student Recruitment, Public Engagement & Internationalisation Committee will review and oversee the development and implementation of an integrated school strategy for internationalisation and public engagement. It will also support the development and implementation of an integrated student recruitment strategy for the school. The committee will elevate market trends and develop appropriate recruitment initiatives to feed into the school operational plans. The school will develop and implement a civic and public engagement plan to ensure engagement with the school’s outreach programmes
Committee Terms of Reference
- Develop, implement and monitor the School’s Strategy relating to Internationalisation.
- Review and oversee the development and implementation of Internationalisation-related targets and initiatives in School.
- Review, and oversee, the development and implementation of an integrated student recruitment strategy for the school.
- Develop, and oversee, the implementation of a high-quality marketing campaign in support of the student recruitment strategy, including improved College web presence and integrated marketing material.
- Oversee Schools participation in undergraduate Open Days; Recruitment Fairs (national and regional); the Schools Visits Programme; University Information Evenings; Guidance Counsellor Events; and Taster Days.
- Identify and implement initiatives linked to the recruitment of international students.
- Develop and implement initiatives linked to enhancing the international visibility of college education and research activity.
- Develop, implement and monitor initiatives linked to inward and outward, student and staff mobility.
- Support the development of increased strategic alliances linked to the College’s Internationalisation Strategy.
- Ensure gender balance (minimum 40% of each gender) at recruitment events and outreach/public engagement activities.
- Contribute to the development of the Institutional Internationalisation Strategy.
- Develop, and oversee, the implementation of an integrated Civic and Public Engagement (CPE) strategy across the school.
- Support the implementation of School Athena Swan Action plans.
